Justa shopping away
Coulda died and gone to heaven

I was buying ice cream and water and ziplocks and soap
Lighter fluid, toothpaste, red dye and rope

The shit went down at the Randall’s

Well I got in line
And grabbed a magazine
Had the prettiest people
That I’d ever seen
Smiles as bright as laser beams
Like some kind of mostly bad beautiful dream

Saw the news in the paper there
Well I must admit
It gave me quite a scare
My skin grew as cold as polar bear hair
I swear it’s true you can tell your friends

Now the checkout clerk
Looked at me real hard
And said do you have a Randall’s Remarkable card
I said no he said that’s ok

It didn’t feel that way

Well the guy behind me did

Gave it to the clerk
Like they were the best of friends
Swiped it and gave it back again
And we stood there looking at each other
